Lionesses care for cubs together and will watch over each other's babies. There were quite a few cubs exploring and relaxing on a very large fallen tree on the Maasai Mara in Kenya when we stopped to watch them. Some ran and played in the grass, others tried their skills of climbing and balancing, developing their muscles and coordination.
This little lion cub was exploring a very large fallen tree with his litter mates on the Maasai Mara, Kenya. As he climbed higher I could imagine him dreaming of the day he would be king!
