Oil on linen.
10 x 8"
While on safari in Kenya there was a particular tree in the camp that was favored by weaver birds. I counted 4 different species of them all at once, each building their nests. The males do the work and if the female doesn't like the result, she will simply snip off the nest at the base and the male must start all over again!
Weaver birds are amazing to watch as they construct their nests, skillfully weaving each blade of grass in and out then going to get the next blade. They repeat this process until the nest is complete with different species having different shaped nests.
The framed original oil painting on canvas is AVAILABLE!
