While in Yellowstone, my friend and I had a very close encounter with this grizzly sow and her cub. We had been watching with a few others as she and her cub foraged down in a gully when they began to cross a log and head up the hill - right to where we were all standing! We all retreated to the safety of vehicles and allowed them space. The popped up exactly where we had been standing mere moments before then made their way across the road and up the hill on the other side!
