The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary was established to save horses doomed to terrible fates. They are also dedicated to the preservation of certain breeds like the Spanish mustang and will do limited controlled breeding of these horses. This mare was a beauty and I had to capture her on canvas!
This beautiful Spanish mustang mare was a resident of the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in South Dakota. One of the most beautiful horses I have ever seen, she watched me from behind a tree as the dappled sunlight broke over her.
