Pelicans are amazing to watch! They are professionals at gliding and the brown pelican is a plunge diver to get food! They are much smaller than the White pelicans but are still large birds. I have sat at state parks watching them come in by the hundreds!
Brown pelicans are a medium sized pelican and a common sight in the Monterey Bay. This pelican was walking along the rocks of Point Lobos State Park in California.
